WHAT'S NEW!
This summer we are making several improvements to the our Student Activity Center. We are in the process of ordering new wall pads. Its time for these old ones to go!
We have a study hall area where students can come and do homework between classes. This is located in the upper northwest side of the building.
We are also ordering cork board and white board to fill the back wall of the upper balcony so that students can post classifieds or wanted ads.
We have installed blinds to help keep the sun out of the two upstairs rooms of the south side of the building.
We are hoping to take these flags down and have a Dixie State mural painted on the east wall of the gym.
We also now have a spot to put our championship pictures. This is just outside of the office to the left of the intramural office.
Come check us out at the Student Activity Center formerly known as the Old Gym.

PARADISE CANYON
The Paradise Canyon trail is a short singletrack loop. It is located in the Red Cliffs Desert Preserve, and connects to the paved Snow Canyon Loop and to the singletrack Beck Hill and Gila trail. The loop is 3.3 miles in length, with about 380 vertical feet of climbing. Formerly a fairly technical ride, the trail has been buffed up. This is a fun bike trail for any rider
ORDERVILLE CANYON
Here at Orderville Canyon our ORC participants were lured into dimly lit passages and caverns recessed into the earths thick crust. These channels form when flowing water detects a weakness in soft rock, then it gnaws away at the stone, creating twisted labyrinths and misshapen formations as it forces a path downward. Tiny whimsical waves, curves and whirls are splattered throughout long tunnels, and in many places, layers of hardened sand have been stripped away revealing slashes of color. These are not dark caves, but are fantastic slot canyons where light radiates from above resulting in an eerie incandescence that might just be the most amazing place in all of nature.
OBSERVATION POINT
Observation Point is a narrow promontory, elevation 6,508 feet, that overlooks much of Zion Canyon including such famous landmarks as the Great White Throne, Castle Dome, Three Patriarchs and Angels Landing. The 4 mile trail to the summit climbs 2,150 feet so this is a fairly strenuous hike, though still relatively easy as all the route is well maintained, well used, and clearly signposted at junctions.
